During preschool, your child will transition from independent learning to a more structured environment. To encourage your 3-year-old to play with friends and learn various subjects, we arranged our room to allow your child to move quickly from one activity to another. Though your 3-year-old's individual development is still significant, this is the year that he/she begins to work in groups, and you begin to hear about friends, art projects, and learned songs and stories. Throughout our 3-year-old room are teacher-guided learning centers that encourage your child's natural curiosity. The subjects are available to explore and teach the fundamentals your 3-year-old needs to be a successful student. Our curriculum is monitored and provided by the Texas School Ready program.
Texas School Ready
Texas School Ready (TSR) is a comprehensive preschool teacher training program that combines a research-based, state-adopted curriculum with ongoing professional development and progress monitoring tools to help children be more prepared for kindergarten and beyond. Since 2003, TSR has positively impacted nearly 500,000 children in Texas.
Multiple research studies have confirmed that Texas School Ready positively impacts teacher instructional practices in the classroom. Teachers participating in TSR are more responsive to the individual needs of the children in their classrooms.
CURRICULUM AND MATERIALS-TSR provides a research-based, state-adopted curriculum and learning materials to support instruction and create a better learning environment for children.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT-TSR provides a comprehensive teacher training program in critical school readiness areas and techniques delivered through face-to-face and online sessions.
CHILD PROGRESS MONITORING-TSR provides teachers with quick assessments to track children's progress in critical early learning areas and tools to help them adjust their lessons to meet children's individual needs.
